Instructor Razuvious

Instructor Razuvious is the first of the three bosses in the Military Quarter.

Also, he can be found in the instanced version of Acherus: The Ebon Hold. There he trains new Death Knights.

Instructor Razuvious is tanked by his adds that get mind controlled by 2 players.

The adds are mind controlled by targeting one of the adds, and right clicking the Obedience Orb. The first person to tank should mind control first, and begin attacking Razuvious (use taunt if needed). Shield wall from the add can be used at any time, but if used just after taunting, the cooldown will be up for a second shield wall just before the other tank needs to taunt. During this time an off-tank should be tanking the 2nd add for about 10-12ish seconds. At that point the second MCer should mind control their add. An alternative to this would be MC both adds at the same time and both MCers discuss with each other when to taunt.

When the current tank of Razuvious gets around 40-50% the 2nd person should taunt Razuvious, and the first person that was previously tanking should release the add to be tanked by the offtank. Releasing the add requires you to cast a spell or right click dismiss on the pet unitframe. Using the orb applies a debuff that does not allow you to reclick the orb for a short amount of time, if needed a third player should mind control the add to taunt off of Razuvious.

During the fight there is damage through Impale, it deals damage on the impact, then does damage as a DOT. It's important to keep everyone's health high because of his shout every so often that deals 4-5k damage.

After the mind control tanking routine is figured out, usually in one or two attempts, the fight is very simple, and shouldn't last long. The raid damage can be healed by one healer, so your second healer can be one of the mind controllers so that you have lots of DPS to get him down quickly.

A side note with the adds:

• Each add should have a dedicated healer as Razuvious does deal a significant amount of damage.
• Upon losing mind control on the add, it's heal will revert back to 100% so the healers don't need to heal an add after MC is broken. <- Currently bugged or this mechanic has been changed.
• If timed correctly, you can stop healing one of the adds when Razuvious is low and have him kill it. If this method is used, be sure that the other add is MCed and ready to taunt.
• When Razuvious dies, any remaining adds must be killed. If both adds are still up, simply have one add tank the other one while the DPS kill it and then release and kill the 2nd one.
