PvP News: No Honor Point/Token Reset

We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn’t something we’ve done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts. (Source)

  • Glyph of Resonating Power - Reduces the rage cost of your Thunder Clap ability by 5.0.

Death Knight

  • Glyph of Rune Strike - Increases the critical strike chance of your Rune Strike by 10% but increases cost by 5.0 runic power. Down from 50.

Priest

  • Glyph of Fading - Reduces the mana cost of your Fade spell by 30%. Down from 50%.
  • Glyph of Spirit of Redemption - All heals cast while Spirit of Redemption is active have a 20% chance to increase the remaining duration of Spirit of Redemption by 5 sec. Down from 20 sec.

Rogue

  • Glyph of Preparation - Your Preparation ability also instantly resets the cooldown of Blade Flurry, Dismantle, and Kick.
  • Glyph of Garrote - Reduces the duration of your Garrote ability by 3.0 sec and increases the total damage it deals by 20%. Down from 45%.

Hunter

  • Glyph of Aimed Shot - Reduces the mana cost of your Aimed Shot ability by 20%.

Druid

  • Glyph of Aquatic Form - Increases your swim speed by 50% while in Aquatic Form. Up from 20%.
  • Glyph of Thorns - Removed.
  • Glyph of Regrowth - Increases the healing of your Regrowth spell by 20% if your Regrowth effect is still active on the target. Down from 50%.

Paladin

  • Glyph of Exorcism - Your Exorcism also interrupts spellcasting for 2 sec.
  • Glyph of Flash of Light - Your Flash of Light heals for 50% less initially, but also heals for 140.0% of its inital effect over 15 sec.
  • Glyph of the Warhorse - Removed
  • Glyph of the Wise - Reduces the mana cost of your Seal of Wisdom spell by 50%.

  • Bloody Vengeance - No longer increases frost and shadow damage.
  • Blood Tap - Tooltip Fix : Duration changed to 20 seconds. (Old 47802d.)
  • Bladed Armor - Now increases attack power by 1/2/3/4/5 for every 180 armor value. (Old 1/2/3/4/5 strength for every 400 armor)
  • Bloody Vengeance - Now gives you a 1/2/3% bonus to physical damage (no longer effects frost and shadow) you deal for 30 sec after dealing a critical strike from a weapon swing, spell, or ability. Now stacks up to 1 times (down from 49).
  • Abomination's Might - Range of attack power increase now 45 yds (Old 20 yds)

Frost

  • Obliterate Damage lowered. (Now Rank 3 - 100% weapon damage plus 238.5, and an additional 119.25 bonus damage per disease) (Old Rank 3 - 100% weapon damage plus 252, 126 bonus damage per disease.)
  • Tundra Stalker - Now gives a passive bonus increase to your Icy Touch. (20/40/60/80/100%)
  • Guile of Gorefiend - No longer gives bonus to Rune Strike critical damage.
  • Howling Blast - Damage increased on all ranks. (Now Rank 5 - 259 to 281) (Old Rank 5 - 192 to 208)
  • Runic Focus - Description changed to : "Unlike most casters, a Death Knight's spells cause double damage on critical hits."

Unholy

  • Death and Decay - Damage Increased (Now Rank 4 - 62 Damage) (Old Rank 4 - 52 Damage)
  • Blood-Caked Blade - Damage increased to 25% of weapon damage. (Old 20% of weapon damage.)
  • Blood Plague - Chance to remove a Heal over Time effect reduced to 25% (Old 50%)
  • Reaping - Pestilence removed, Blood Strike added.

Balance

  • Starfall - Now has a 30 yard range. Instant cast.
  • Nature's Splendor - Now increases the duration of your Insect Swarm by 2.0 sec (down from 3.0)
  • Typhoon - Rank 4 now does 1010 Nature damage (formerly bugged at 1 damage).

Feral

  • Rake - DoT damage increased for all ranks.
  • Swipe - No longer has a target limit. Now: (Rank 1) Swipe nearby enemies, inflicting 9 damage. Damage increased by attack power.
  • Mangle (Cat) - Now does 200% normal damage (up from 160%). Additional damage increased for all ranks.
  • Protector of the Pack - Now reduced damage per party member by 1/2/3% instead of a flat 3% for all ranks.

Beast Mastery

  • Aspect of the Viper reworded - Now: The hunter takes on the aspect of the viper, causing ranged attacks to regenerate mana but reducing your total damage done by 50%. Mana gained is based on the speed of your ranged weapon. Only one Aspect can be active at a time.
  • Aspect of the Wild - Rank 4 now increases Nature resistance by 130 (up from 70).
  • Kindred Spirits - Description now includes "This does not stack with other movement speed increasing effects."

Marksmanship

  • Aimed Shot - Mana cost reduced from 16% to 12% of base mana. Now instant cast. Cooldown increased from 6 seconds to 10 seconds. Ranged damage increase reduced for all ranks.
  • Concussive Shot - Now has a 12 sec cooldown.
  • Kill Shot - Now deals 200% weapon damage (down from 205%). Base damage reduced by approx 50% on all ranks.
  • Multi-Shot - Mana cost increased for 12% to 13% of base mana.
  • Focused Aim - No longer effects Aimed Shot. Now also increases your chance to hit by 1/2/3%.
  • Marked for Death - Now increases your damage done by your shots and the damage done by your pet's special abilities by 1/2/3/4/5% (down from 2/4/6/8/10%) on marked targets.
  • Scatter Shot - Moved from Tier 5 to Tier 3, changed trees to Survival.

Survival

  • Freezing Arrow - The trap placed by the arrow now breaks on any damage (instead of having a chance to break).
  • Freezing Trap - Trap now breaks on any damage once again, instead of having a chance to break. ("Any damage caused will break the ice.")
  • Lock and Load - Now has a 2/4/6% proc chance on periodic damage (down from 5/10/15%).
  • Point of No Escape - Changes from 3 to 2 points. Now also effects Freezing Arrow. Critical strike chance increase on affected targets is now 3/6% instead of 2/4/6%.
  • Readiness - Moved from Tier 9 to Tier 5, changed trees to Marksmanship.
  • Surefooted - Moved from Tier 4 to Tier 2. No longer increases hit chance.
  • T.N.T. - Moved from Tier 2 to Tier 4
  • Trap Mastery - Moved from Tier 3 to Tier 9. Now effects Freezing Trap in the same way as Frost Trap (duration increase, instead of root effect on dispell).

  • Sound Effect Spell - Polymorph Penguin and Polymorph Sheep added
  • Missile Barrage - Now affects Arcane Barrage. Now has a 3/6/9/12/20% chance to reduce the channeled duration of the next Arcane Missiles spell by 2.5 secs and missiles will fire every .5 secs.

Fire

  • Empowered Fireball - Renamed Empowered Fire. Now affects Frostfire Bolt.
  • Living Bomb - Now has no knockup.

Frost

  • Deep Freeze - Now does no damage.
  • Frost Warding - Moved from Tier 1 to Tier 2
  • Frostbite - Moved from Tier 2 to Tier 1

  • Divine Plea - Now you gain 25% of your total mana over 15 sec (up from 10 sec), but the amount healed by your spells is reduced by 100% (up from 50%).
  • Infusion of Light - Now your Holy Shock critical hits reduce the cast time of your next Holy Light spell by -0.50/-1 secs (down from -1.25/-2.5 sec).
  • Judgements of the Pure - Now lasts 60 sec (up from 30 sec).

Retribution

  • Judgements of the Wise - Now immediately grants you 33% of your base mana (instead of 20% of your maximum mana).

  • Improved Inner Fire - Moved from Tier 3 to Tier 2.
  • Improved Power Word: Fortitude - Moved from Tier 2 to Tier 3.
  • Silent Resolve - Ranks 4 and 5 removed.
  • Twin Disciplines - Now increases "damage and healing" instead of "spellpower".

Holy

  • Guardian Spirit - This sacrifice terminates the effect but heals the target of 50% of their maximum health. Up from 10%.
  • Holy Nova - Mana cost reduced to 25% of base mana from 33% of base mana for higher ranks. Lower ranks also had a mana cost reduction.

Shadow

  • Devouring Plague - Amount of damage that heals you now specified, 15% of damage caused by the Devouring Plague heals the caster.
  • Twisted Faith - Now works if your target is afflicted by your Shadow Word: Pain instead of Mind Flay.

Assassination

  • Focused Attacks - Your melee critical strikes have a 33/66/100% chance to give you 2 energy (up from 1).

Combat

  • Gouge - Damage now scales with attack power.
  • Aggression - Moved from Tier 5 to Tier 4. Now increases the damage of your Sinister Strike, Backstab, and Eviscerate abilities by 3/6/9/12/15% (up from 2/4/6/8/10%).
  • Blade Twisting - Now also increases the damage dealt by Sinister Strike and Backstab by 5/10%.
  • Vitality - Now regens 8/16/25% energy (up from 3/7/10%).

  • Fire Nova Totem - Mana cost now 33% of base mana. (Old 26%)
  • Fire Nova Totem - New ranks added. (Level 75 rank 8 - 755 to 843 damage) (Level 80 Rank 9 - 893 to 997 damage)

Enhancement

  • Unleashed Rage - Now increases all attack power and has a 45 yard range.
  • Dual Wield Specialization - Now increases your chance to hit while dual wielding by an additional 1/2/3% (down from 2/4/6%).
  • Flurry - Attack speed increase lowered by 5% (Now 5/10/15/20/25) (Old 10/15/20/25/30).
  • Stormstrike - 20% damage increase now only effects Nature spells.
  • Maelstrom Weapon - Chance for buff to apply lowered, now can proc on any melee weapon hit (noncrit or crit). Duration increased to 30 seconds. (New 3/6/9/12/15) (Old 20/40/60/80/100)
  • Spirit Wolves - Spirit Hunt - Duration removed.

Restoration

  • Improved Water Shield - Now works on Riptide Critical Hits.
  • Ancestral Awakening - Now works on Riptide Critical Hits.

Totems

  • Frost Resistance Totem - Duration fixed to be 5minutes.
  • Totem of Wrath - Duration fixed to be 5minutes.
  • Fire Resistance Totem - Duration fixed to be 5minutes.

Affliction

  • Everlasting Affliction - Now Drain Life and Haunt will reset Corruption instead of Drain Life and Shadow Bolt.
  • Drain Soul - Drains the soul of the target, causing 426 Shadow damage over 15 sec. If the target is at or below 25% health, Drain Soul causes four times the normal damage. If the target dies while being drained, and yields experience or honor, the caster gains a Soul Shard. Soul Shards are required for other spells.
  • Curse of Doom - If the target yields experience or honor when it dies from this damage, a Doomguard will be summoned. Cannot be cast on players.
  • Haunt - Now heals for 100% of damage done. Down from 200%.

Demonology

  • Enslave Demon - Lasts up to 60 sec. Down from 300 sec.
  • Demonic Pact - Does not work on Enslaved demons.

Destruction

  • Chaos Bolt - Now does fire damage instead of chaos damage.
  • Conflagrate - Now works with Shadowflame as well as Immolate.

  • Enchant Weapon - Greater Savagery - Only works on two-handed weapons.
  • Socket XXXX - Cannot add more than one socket to an item. Can only add a socket to your own armor, and adding a socket binds the item to you. The added socket requires that you maintain 400 blacksmithing or it will become inactive.
  • Titanium Weapon Chain - No longer requires a level 70 item.
  • Several Shoulder Inscriptions now require a level 60 item.
  • Northrend Alchemy Research - Cast time increased to 20 seconds.

Along with Stoneclaw totem absorbing damage for your other totems, all the totem items that you put in your relic slot now count for shaman totem items. No more carrying around those four items. Yay for more bag slots!

  • Glyph of Raise Dead - You generate 20.0 runic power whenever you summon a ghoul.
  • Glyph of Raise Dead - Your Ghoul receives an additional 20% of your Strength.

  • Lock and Load - Now gives you a 100% chance when you trap a target and a 100% chance when you deal periodic damage with your Serpent Sting to cause your next 2 Arcane Shot or Explosive Shot to trigger no cooldown, cost no mana, and consume no ammo.
  • T.N.T. - No longer increases the critical strike chance of Explosive Trap.
  • Improved Tracking - Changed from all damage to non-periodic damage.

  • Relics - Shaman relics now count as a Fire, Earth, Water, and Air totems in addition to their normal effect.

Honor Reset - 09/23/08

Upcoming Honor Items and Honor Reset

As many of you know we will be featuring a new Battleground, a dedicated world PvP zone and all new PvP items in Wrath of the Lich King. In order to make the transition from The Burning Crusade to Wrath of the Lich King flow as smoothly as possible, all accrued honor points will be reset at the launch of the expansion. We do this to ensure select players do not have an unfair advantage at level 80 from stockpiling honor to instantly purchase the newest Wrath of the Lich King PvP rewards. For those with unspent honor points prior to the release of the expansion, we will be offering a few upgrades and special rewards in next content patch solely for purchase via the honor system.

Marks of Honor will be wiped as well.

Direct your complaints here! You can currently buy the level 80 honor gear at 70 on the PTR.

Inscription Change - 09/21/08

No more changing Glyphs on the fly, folks! This latest build introduced a new requirement for adding Glyphs to your interface. You now need to be near a "Lexicon of Power." Lexicons are the blue floating books found near Inscription Trainers, as seen below.

Balance

  • Improved Faerie Fire reworded. Now: Your Faerie Fire spell also increases the chance the target will be hit by spell attacks by 1/2/3%, and increases the critical strike chance of your damage spells (instead of all attacks) by 1% on targets afflicted by Faerie Fire.
  • Improved Moonkin Form - Now causes affected targets to gain 1/2% (down from a flat 3%) haste.
  • Lunar Guidance - "spell damage and healing" changed to "spell power."
  • Nature's Focus - Now reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attacks while casting Healing Touch, Wrath, Entangling Roots, Cyclone, Nourish, Regrowth and Tranquility by 23/45/70% (instead of giving you a chance to avoid interruption).
  • Nature's Grace: Increased from 1 to 3 points. Now has a 33/66/100% (instead of a flat 100%) chance to grace you with a blessing of nature.
  • Nature's Splendor revamped - Reduced from 3 to 1 point. Now increases the duration of your Moonfire, Insect Swarm, and Rejuvenation spells by 3.0 sec, your Regrowth spell by 6.0 sec, and your Lifebloom spell by 3.0 sec.

Feral

  • Dash - Now has a 3 min cooldown (down from 5 min).
  • Survival Instincts (NEW TIER 3 TALENT) - When activated, this ability temporarily grants you 30% of your maximum health for 20 sec while in Bear Form, Cat Form, or Dire Bear Form. After the effect expires, the health is lost. Instant, 5 min cooldown
  • Berserk revamped - Now when activated, this ability causes your Mangle (Bear) ability to hit up to 3 targets and have no cooldown, and reduces the energy cost of all your Cat Form abilities by 50%. Lasts 15 sec. You cannot use Tiger's Fury while Berserk is active. Clears the effect of Fear and makes you immune to Fear for the duration.
  • Brutal Impact - Moved from Tier 2 to Tier 5
  • Mangle - "increases the damage of Maul and Shred" removed from tooltip, this increase now occurs through the bleed damage debuff.
  • Predatory Instincts - Changed from 5 to 3 points. Now increases your damage from melee critical strikes by 3/7/10% and reduces the damage taken from area of effect attacks by 5/10/15%.
  • Protector of the Pack - Now increases your attack power in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by 2/4/6% (instead of bonus attack power by 20/40/60%), and for each friendly player in your party when you enter Bear Form or Dire Bear Form, damage you take is reduced while in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by 3%.
  • Rend and Tear - Now increases damage done by your Maul and Shred attacks on bleeding targets by 4/8/12/16/20% (up from 2/4/6/8/10%).
  • Savage Fury - Moved from Tier 5 to Tier 2

Restoration

  • Gift of the Earthmother - Now also effects Wild Growth.

  • Will of the Necropolis - Now reduces the cooldown of your Anti-Magic Shell by 1/2/3, down from 5/10/15.
  • Blade Barrier - Duration increased to 10 seconds from 8 seconds.
  • Blood Strike - Now does "an additional 33.0 bonus damage per disease" instead of "Each disease on the target causes an additional 33 damage".
  • Death Rune Mastery now give you a 33/66/100% chance to create a Death Rune (up from 30/60/100%).
  • Heart Strike - Wording change to "bonus damage per disease" from "Each disease on the target causes an additional".
  • Veteran of the Third War revamped - Now increases your total Strength and Stamina by 2/4/6%, and your expertise by 2/4/6.

Frost

  • Blood of the North - Changed to only work when spell hits, not on use. Now is caused by both Blood Strike and Pestilence.
  • Frost Presence - Now reduces spell damage taken by 5% instead of increasing magic resistance by 1 per level.
  • Icy Touch - Now reduces melee and ranged attack speed by 14% for 12 sec
  • Obliterate - Now does "bonus damage per disease" instead of "additional damage for each of the Death Knight's diseases on the target"

Unholy

  • Death Grip - Now has an 8 to 30 yd range.
  • Bone Shield - Changed to "Each damaging attack that lands consumes 1 bone" from "Each spell or attack that lands consumes 1 bone".
  • Death Strike - Now "heals the Death Knight for a percent of damage done" instead of "heals the Death Knight for 100% of the damage done ".
  • Reaping - Changed to work only whenever you hit instead of whenever you use a spell.
  • Scourge Strike - Now does "bonus damage per disease" instead of "additional damage for each of the Death Knight's diseases on the target."

While wandering, the cat cannot attack or cast spells but will regenerate very quickly. Any damage will transform the target back into its normal form. Only one target can be polymorphed at a time. Only works on Beasts, Humanoids and Critters. 2 sec cast time.
  • Dalaran Brilliance - Cosmetic version of Arcane Brilliance.

Fire

  • World in Flames - Now also affects Pyroblast.

  • Devouring Plague - Mana cost reduced to 25% of base mana from 31%.

Assassination

  • Deadly Brew revamped - Now when you apply Instant, Wound or Mind-Numbing poison to a target, you have a 50% chance to apply Crippling poison.
  • Improved Poisons - Now increases the chance to apply Instant and Deadly Poison to your target by 2/4/6/8/10% (down from 3/6/9/12/15%).
  • Hunger for Blood - now only attempt to remove a Bleed effect. (Old - any harmful physical effect)

Combat

  • Gouge - Now awards one combo point.
  • Aggression - Moved from Tier 6 to Tier 5. Increased from 3 points to 5. Now increases the damage of your Sinister Strike, Backstab, and Eviscerate abilities by 2/4/6/8/10%.
  • Endurance - Now also increases your total stamina by 2/4%.
  • Blood Poisoning renamed Savage Combat - Now also increases your total attack power by 2/4%.
  • Vitality revamped - Now increases your Energy regeneration rate by 3/6%. Previously: Increases your total Stamina by 2/4% and your total Agility by 1/2%.

Subtlety

  • Tricks of the Trade - Now has a cost of 15 energy.
  • Filthy Tricks - Now also reduces the cooldown of Preparation by 2.5/5 min

  • Lava Flows - Now increases the range of your Flame Shock by 5/10/15 yards instead of increasing the amount of bonus spell damage on your Flametongue Weapon by an additional 15/30/45%.
  • Eye of the Storm - Now reduces the pushback suffered from damaging attacks while casting Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Lava Burst and Hex spells by 23/46/70% instead of giving you a 23/46/70% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage.

Enhancement

  • Static Shock - Now increases the number of charges of your Lightning Shield by 2/4/6 up from 1/2/3.
  • Elemental Weapons - Moved from Tier 5 to Tier 3. Now increases the spell damage on your Flametongue Weapon by 10/20/30% and increases the bonus healing on your Earthliving Weapon by 10/20/30% instead of increasing the damage caused by your Flametongue Weapon and Frostbrand Weapon by 5/10/15%.
  • Mental Dexterity - Moved from Tier 3 to Tier 5.

Restoration

  • Healing Focus - Reduces the pushback suffered by 23/46/70% instead of giving you a 23/46/70% chance to avoid interruption.
  • Blessing of the Eternals - Now increases the chance to apply the Earthliving heal over time effect on the target by 40/80% when they are at or under 35% total health instead of increasing the bonus healing from your Earthliving weapon by 5/10%.
  • Earthliving Weapon - All ranks saw a healing increase, max rank now 70 up from 26.
  • Spirit Link - Removed, replaced with Riptide.
  • Riptide - Heals a friendly target for 764 to 826 and another 477 over 15 sec sec. Your next Chain Heal cast on that primary target within 15 sec sec will consume the healing over time effect and increase the amount of the Chain Heal by 25%. 18% of base mana, 40 yd range, Instant Cast, 6 sec cooldown

Death Knight

  • Glyph of Blood Boil - Lowers the damage of your Blood Boil by 20% but causes it to slow affected targets for 5 sec.
  • Glyph of Icy Touch - Your Icy Touch does 10% less damage but generates 10 additional runic power.
  • Glyph of Death and Decay - Targets of your Death and Decay have a 20% chance to cower in fear for 2 sec.
  • Glyph of Raise Dead - Your Ghoul receives an additional 20% of your Strength.
  • Glyph of Rune Strike - Increases the critical strike chance of your Rune Strike by 5% but increases cost by 3 runic power.
  • Glyph of Pestilence - Increases the radius of your Pestilence effect by 5 yards.
  • Glyph of Corpse Explosion - Any target killed by your Corpse Explosion will also explode. This effect cannot happen more than once every 6 seconds.
  • Glyph of Raise Dead - You generate $60201$1 runic power whenever you summon a ghoul.

  • Glyph of Fade - Increases the duration and cooldown of your Fade spell by 50%.
  • Glyph of Inner Fire - Increases the charges on your Inner Fire spell by 20.

Rogue

  • Glyph of Sinister Strike - Your Sinister Strike critical strikes have a 40% chance to add an additional combo point. Down from 100%.

Druid

  • Glyph of Maul - Your Maul ability now hits 1 additional target.
  • Glyph of Swipe - Removed.

Shaman

  • Glyph of Renewed Life - All stats increased by 5% for 60 sec when you Reincarnate.

Hunter

  • Glyph of Aspect of the Viper: Now "Increases the amount of mana gained from attacks while Aspect of the Viper is active by 10%."
  • Glyph of Scare Beast: Now "Gives you 75% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage while casting Scare Beast."

Mage

  • Glyph of Frostfire - Increases the initial damage dealt by Frostfire Bolt by 2% and its critical strike chance by 2%.
  • Glyph of Fireball - Increases the critical strike chance of Fireball by 5%, but removes the damage over time effect.
  • Glyph of Improved Scorch - The Improved Scorch talent now generates 3 applications of the Improved Scorch effect each time Scorch is cast. Down from 5.
  • Glyph of Remove Curse - Your Remove Curse spell also makes the target immune to all Curses for 1 sec (4 sec?). Down from 6 sec.

Warrior

  • Glyph of Heroic Strike - Gain 10.0 rage.
  • Glyph of Hamstring - Gives your Hamstring ability a chance to immobilize the target.
  • Glyph of Blocking - Increases shield block value by 10%.

Kill Shot can only be used on enemies that have 20% or less health. (No longer causes knockdown effect.) Ranks 2 and 3 added for 1000 and 1200 base damage.

Survival

  • Surefooted: Now increases hit chance by 1% and reduces the duration of movement impairing effects by 10/20/30% (down from 16/25/50%).

  • Survival Instincts: Now increases the critical strike chance of your Arcane Shot, Steady Shot, and Explosive Shot by 2/4% (instead of attack power by 2/4%) in addition to reducing damage taken.

  • Holy Fire: Now has a 2 sec cast time (down from 4 sec).
  • Holy Nova: Is now a base ability.
  • Hymn of Hope: Now you recite a Holy hymn of Hope, restoring 2% mana every 2 sec to all party members within 40 yards. Lasts 8 sec. The Priest must channel to keep the hymn active.

Shadow

  • Devouring Plague: Mana cost reduce. Cooldown reduced to 30 seconds (down from 3 min).
  • Dispersion: Now you disperse into pure Shadow energy, reducing all damage taken by 90%. You are unable to attack or cast spells, but you regenerate 6% mana every 1 sec for 6 sec. Dispersion can be cast while stunned, feared or silenced. If Dispersion runs its full duration, and you are not the victim of any damage or harmful effects during its duration, your spells gain 25% damage for 1 min.
  • Psychic Horror: Now causes your Psychic Scream ability to inflict Psychic Horror on the target when the fear effect ends. Psychic Horror reduces all damage done by the target by 15/30% for 6 sec.
  • Vampiric Touch: Now restores .25% of max mana when you deal damage with Mind Blast. (Previously worked with all shadow spells and was .5% of max mana)
  • Improved Shadowform: Now gives you a 50/100% chance to remove all movement impairing effects when using Fade while in Shadowform.

  • Ghost Wolf: Mana cost reduced to 3% from 13% of base mana.
  • Stormstrike: Now also increases Fire and Frost damage dealt to the target.
  • Spectral Transformation renamed Earthen Power and revamped: Now "Your Earthbind Totem has a 50/100% chance to also remove all snare effects from you and nearby friendly targets when it pulses."

  • Spirit Link: Mana cost reduced from 12% to 4% of base mana. Now "A member of the link moving beyond 100 yards or being the target of an effect which breaks on taking damage will also break the link."

  • Chaos Bolt - 12 sec cooldown added. Costs 7% of base mana down from 19%. 3 second cast, up from 2 seconds. Rank 4 now does 1036 to 1314 Fire damage, up from 990 to 1256 Fire damage. Also causes the Warlock's mind to turn Chaotic. All ranks had a damage increase.
  • Backdraft - Cast time of your next three Destruction spell reduced by 30%. Up from next spell only at 10%. No longer reduces mana cost.
  • Soul Fire - Cooldown removed.
  • Soul Leech - Now also affects chaos bolt.
  • Shadow and Flame - Now also increases the bonus spell damage received by Chaos Bolt.
  • Improved Immolate - Increases the initial damage of your Immolate spell by 10/20/30% from 5/10/15/20/25%.

  • Toughness - Now reduces the duration of all movement slowing effects by 6/12/18/24/30%, down from 10/20/30/40/50%.
  • Safeguard - Reduces damage taken by the target of your Intervene ability by 15/30% for 6 sec, down from 30/60%.
  • Vigilance - Now each time they are hit by an attack your Taunt cooldown is refreshed. Up from max of 3 times.
  • Intervene - Now also reduces the target's total threat by 10%.
  • Improved Spell Reflection - Reduces the chance you'll be hit by spells by 2/4% and when the ability is used it will reflect the first spell cast against the 2/4 closest party members.

  • Lightning Mastery will now reduce that cast time of Lava Burst by 0.5 sec with 5 points. (Down to 1.5)

  • Death Coil, Frost Strike, Death and Decay damage increased.
  • Strikes that scale with diseases changed so that the weapon damage, not just the flat damage, scales with the disease.
  • Double rune abilities damage increased: Obliterate, Howling Blast, Scourge Strike, Death Strike.
  • Unholy Blight no longer causes Blood Plague, but had its cooldown removed.
  • Several attack power coefficients increased.
  • Bloody Strikes and Scent of Blood swapped places.
  • Bladed Armor now turns armor into Strength (which then is turned into Parry).
  • Master of Ghouls' Ghoul now lasts until killed or similarly dismissed.
  • Ravenous Dead no longer affects Ghoul duration, but grants your rotting little buddy 60% more of your Str and Sta. (Stam goes from 30% of yours to ~50% of yours. Strength goes from 100% to 160%.)

Tanking changes

  • Frost Presence now grants 10% total health in addition to its current bonuses.
  • Blood Gorged, Rage of Rivendare and Tundra Stalker all grant 1/2/3/4/5 expertise.
  • Veteran of the Third War increased to 6/6/6 Str / Sta / Exp to match warriors.
  • Will of the Necropolis no longer grants expertise and now lowers Anti-Magic Shell cooldown.
  • Pestilence has no target limit. (It still has a radius limit.) Pesilence glyph now increases area.
  • Death and Decay no longer has a cower component, but a glyph can add that back.
  • Frigid Dreadplate now has a 100% chance for 2/4/6% miss but only on the DK.

Rewards for the selfless buffer

  • Abom's Might now grants 2% Strength at all times.
  • Improved Icy Talons now grants 2% haste at all times.
  • Ebon Plaguebringer now grants 3% crit at all times.

Runeforge changes

  • Lichbane now does 2% weapon damage as Fire, and double damage to undead.
  • Swordbreaking and Swordshattering add disarm duration reduction.
  • Spellbreaking and Spellshattering add silence duration reduction.
  • Cinderglacier reduced to 2 charges.

Priest

Holy

  • Holy Concentration - Will scale with spell crit instead of just a flat %
  • Divine Hymn - Now does a short duration heal over time effect in addition to it's crowd-control capability, and is now baked into a lot of Holy talents (Holy Reach, Divine Providence etc.)
  • Blessed Recovery - so that it now works like Ignite (Mage), where each crit gets added into the periodic heal over time and refreshes the duration.
  • Lightwell - You can now see how many charges are left in the Lightwell by clicking on it.

Discipline

  • Grace - Now provides 2% healing for the Priest, stacks up 3 times. So 6% increased healing taken from that target who has Grace (but only by you, the Priest).
  • Twin Disciplines - will now work with Mind Flay.

Shadow

  • Shadow Resilience - Now called Mind Melt - Increases the critical strike chance of your Mind Flay, Mind Sear and Mind Blast spells by 2/4%.
  • Shadow Power - Now 20/40/60/80/100% critical strike damage bonus, also works with Mind Flay.
  • Improved Shadowform - The chance to remove all movement impairing effects when you Fade is now restored.
  • Psychic Horror - Redesigned. Now reduces all damage done by targets when Psychic Scream ends by 15/30%. Lasts 6 sec.
  • Dispersion - 90% damage reduction is restored.
  • Misery - Now has 5/10/15% bonus spell power to Mind Flay, Mind Sear and Mind Blast.

Racials

In an upcoming build all Priest racials have been retired, except the following:

  • Desperate Prayer - This is now the 11-point talent in Holy, Holy Nova is now a base ability. Cooldown also reduced to 30 seconds.
  • Devouring Plague - Now a base ability for all priests. Cooldown reduced to 30 seconds, mana cost greatly reduced.
  • Symbol of Hope - Now a base ability for all priests. Now restores 5% base mana every 2 seconds for 8 seconds to your party. Renamed "Hymn of Hope."

Hunter

Pets

  • We like pet leveling as a feature, but I agree that the time it takes has grown out of control, possibly because killing mobs doesn't provide the same percentage of your hunter's experience as it used to. We'll try to get it fixed.
  • Taunt no longer shares a cooldown with Growl and Cower.
  • Avoidance, not Great Resistance, is the prereq for Wolverine Bite.
  • We are still trying to rework Heart of the Phoenix to get around the shortcomings.
  • Tenacity and Ferocity pets lost their armor multiplier but it was given to all pets at base. The net effect is that Cunning pets won't be at a stat deficit compared to the other trees.
  • Roar of Recovery provides more mana.
  • Lick Your Wounds now with faster licking technology.
  • Carrion Feeder cooldown dropped to 30. We can't easily change the range because this spells uses the same tech as the undead racial.
  • Focus cost removed from Bullheaded.
  • Not directly talent-related, but rather than reworking Prowl, cats got a second damage ability, Rake. It felt odd for them to shift from most desired pet to one of the least desired.

Misc

  • There will be a portal to Caverns of Time in the Violet Hold. No faction required.
  • The Horde version of the Wrathgate quest line should be complete. The Alliance version will not be finished yet.
  • Onxyia's Lair no longer has a requirement for entry.
  • Maybe Illidan will forget how to Shear.
  • Training Dummies will be added to Ebon Hold

PvE to PvP Transfers

Why are you now allowing character transfers from PvE realms to PvP realms?

Because World of Warcraft has matured significantly since the inception of Paid Character Transfers, we don’t feel that PvE-to-PvP transfers will have the negative impact on the game that we initially wanted to avoid when we started the service in 2006. This change will provide more mobility and freedom for players to experience the game with friends or play in the type of environment they’re looking for.

So I can transfer any character to any PvP realm of my choosing now?

Yes, as long as there are no other existing restrictions that would prevent the transfer from taking place, such as trying to transfer a Horde character to a PvP realm where you already play an Alliance character. Please see the Paid Character Transfer FAQ for more details and restrictions.

Do PvE-to-PvP transfers differ from other transfers?

No. The same rules and restrictions will apply to these transfers. Please visit the Paid Character Transfer FAQ for further details.

What if I don’t like the PvP realm I transferred to? Can I go elsewhere?

Any character that has completed a realm transfer can be transferred again after 30 days have passed.

Will there be any measures implemented to prevent abuse of this feature?

We’ll continue to monitor all realms and make changes to how the service works if it appears that abuse is taking place.

Will you offer PvE-to-PvP Free Character Moves in the future now that the option is available through the Paid Character Transfer service?

We may offer Free Character Moves from PvE realms to PvP realms in the future, should the need arise.

Will I now be able to create both Alliance and Horde characters on the same PvP realm on one account?

Creating both Horde and Alliance characters on the same PvP realm is still restricted, for many of the same reasons why Alliance and Horde characters cannot speak to each other in the game. Maintaining a barrier between the Alliance and Horde factions supports fair gameplay and is in keeping with the spirit of the Warcraft universe.

  • Acclimation: Now only effects the Death Knight instead of the raid or party within range.
  • Rune Strike: Now instantly strike the target for 60% weapon damage. Only usable after the Death Knight performs critical hit with an ability that causes a disease (instead of any melee critical strike).
  • Killing Machine: Now gives you a 10/20/30/40/50% (down from 20/40/60/80/100%) chance your next Icy Touch, Howling Blast or Frost Strike will be a critical strike.
  • Annihilation: Now ncreases the critical strike chance of your melee special abilities by 1%. In addition, there is a 33/66% (up from 30/60%) chance that your Obliterate will do its damage without consuming diseases.

Unholy

  • Unholy Blight: Damage reduced. Now lasts 14 seconds (down from 20).
  • Reaping: Some ranks removed.
  • Blood-Caked Blade: Now Blood-Caked Strike hits for 20% weapon damage plus 10.0% for each of your diseases on the target (instead of a flate 50% weapon damage).

(Fromerly: Reduces all damage taken by 1/2/3% and gives your Hand of Freedom a 33/66/100% chance to remove Stun effects.)

Holy

  • Seal of Light: Holy damage dealt when Judged reduced.
  • Seal of Wisdom: Holy damage dealt when Judged reduced.
  • Holy Shock Bonus: Now increases the effective spell power of your Holy Shock when used as a healing spell by 30% (Instead of increasing the spell power of your Holy Shock spell by 30%).

  • Enlightenment - No longer increases Intellect.
  • Improved Inner Fire - Now increases the effect of your Inner Fire spell by 15/30/45% (down from 20/40/60%), and increases the total number of charges by 4/8/12.

  • Divine Hymn - Now "You recite a Holy hymn, causing the closest 10 enemies within 0 yards to become incapacitated for 20 sec., and heals the closest friendly targets within 0 yards for 4506 over 6 sec." PvE sleep time changed to 20 seconds from 10 seconds.
  • Test of Faith - Now increases healing by 2/4/6%, down from 5/10/15% and spell critical effect chance by 2/4/6%, down from 4/7/10% on friendly targets at or below 50% health.
  • Serendipity - Any overheal gives back 8/17/25% of the spells mana cost, changed from 50% overheal gives back 20/40/60% of the spells mana cost.
  • Improved Holy Concentration - Increases the chance you'll enter Holy Concentration by 1/2/3% (down from 4/7/10%), and also increases your spell haste by 10/20/30% (down form 20/40/60%) for the next Greater Heal, Flash Heal or Binding Heal spells after you gain Holy Concentration. Lasts 20 sec.
  • Empowered Healing - Your Greater Heal spell gains an additional 8/16/24/32/40% (up from 2/4/6/8/10%) and your Flash Heal and Binding Heal gain an additional 4/8/12/16/20% (up from 1/2/3/4/5%) of your bonus healing effects.

Shadow

  • Improved Spirit Tap - Changed to "Your Mind Blast and Shadow Word: Death critical strikes increase your total Spirit by 5/10%. For the duration, your mana will regenerate at a 10/20% rate while casting. Lasts 8 sec."
  • Fade - All ranks but Rank 1 removed.
  • Twisted Faith - Now increases all spellpower by 2/4/6/8/10% of your Spirit, down from 6/12/18/24/30%.
  • Dispersion - Damage reduction lowered to 60% from 90%. Now only regens mana, not health and mana.
  • Improved Shadowform - Movement impairing effects removal effect removed.
  • Shadow Resilience - Now reduces the chance you'll be critically hit by all spells by 2/4% instead of reducing physical damage taken by 2/4%.

  • Thunderstorm: Damage slightly reduced. Now knocks back 6 yards (up from 5). New ranks added. Rank 2 at level 70: deals 1074 to 1226 Nature damage. Rank 3 at level 75: deals 1226 to 1400 Nature damage. Rank 4 at level 80: deals 1450 to 1656 Nature damage.

Enhancement

  • Maelstrom Weapon: Now also effects the cast time of Lesser Healing Wave, Healing Wave and Chain Heal.

Restoration

  • Nature's Guardian: Cooldown reduced from 8 secodns to 5 seconds.
  • Ancestral Awakening: the summoned Ancestral Spirit now heals for 7/13/20% of the amount healed by the Shaman (down from 20/40/60%).
  • Tidal Waves reworked. Now you have a 20/40/60/80/100% chance after you cast Chain Heal to lower the cast time of your next Lesser Healing Wave or Healing Wave spell by 30%. In addition, your Healing Wave gains an additional 4/8/12/16/20% of your bonus healing effects and your Lesser Healing Wave gains an additional 2/4/6/8/10% of your bonus healing effects.

  • Improved Soul Leech - Your Soul Leech effect also restores mana to you and your summoned demon equal to 1/2% of maximum mana, changed from 5/10% of the damage caused.
  • Improved Felhunter - Now increases the effect of your Felhunter's Fel Intelligence by 5/10%, up from 1/2%.
  • Shadowfury - Now an instant cast spell.
  • Unstable Affliction - Silence from dispel increased to 5 seconds from 3 seconds.
  • Death's Embrace - Now works for all Shadow spells instead of just Shadowbolt and Haunt. Critical strike chance bonus reduced to 3/6/9% from 5/10/15%.
  • Eradication - 30 second cooldown for effect added.
  • Shadow Embrace - Down to 1/2% bonus damage by warlock from 2/4%.
  • Amplify Curse - Now reduces the global cooldown of your Curses by 0.067%, down from .5 seconds.
  • Curse of Exhaustion - Now only slows by 30%, down from 50%.

Demonology

  • Dark Pact - Rank 5 added, draining 1200 mana. Only returns 100% mana instead of 200%.
  • Ritual of Souls - Rank 2 added, allows for Fel Healthstones!
  • Demonic Empathy - Changed to when you or your pet critically hits with a spell or ability, the other's damage done by their next 3 spells or abilities is increased by 1/2/3%, down from 2/4/6%.
  • Fel Armor - Allows you to regain 2% of your maximum health every 5 sec instead of allowing 30% of your mana regeneration to continue while casting.
  • Empowered Imp - The spell critical hit chance bonus for the next spell was reduced to 20% from 100%.
  • Demonic Empowerment - Voidwalker increased threat reduced to 20 second duration. Fel Guard buff reduced to 15 second duration.

Destruction

  • Chaos Bolt - 3 New ranks added, max rank doing 990 to 1256 Fire damage.
  • Backdraft - Now the cast time and mana cost of your next Destruction spell reduced by 10/20/30% instead of 10/20/30% spell haste for next 3 Destro spells.
  • Fire and Brimstone - Now increases the damage of your Immolate spell by an amount equal to 3/6/9/12/15% of your spell power, down from 5/10/15/20/25%.
  • Aftermath - Down to 2 ranks from 5.
  • Emberstorm - Now reduces the cast time of your Incinerate spell by .25 sec, down from .5 seconds.
  • Cataclysm - Now reduces the Mana cost of your Destruction spells by 1/2/3%, down from 2/4/6%.

  • Wrecking Crew - Now your melee critical hits Enrage you, increasing all damage caused by 2/4/6/8/10% for 12 sec.

Fury

  • Enraged Regeneration - Now requires an enrage effect to consume.
  • Commanding Shout - Now buffs the raid.
  • Rampage - Now increases ranged critical hit chance.
  • Titan's Grip - Now also reduces your chance to hit with melee abilities that require weapons by 15%.

Protection

  • Improved Spell Reflection - New talent that reduces the chance you'll be hit by spells by 2/4%, reduces the cooldown of your Spell Reflection ability by 2/5 sec and when the ability is used it will reflect the first spell cast against the 2/4 closest party members.
  • Devastate - Now causes 80% (up from 50%) of weapon damage plus 101 (up from 83) for each application of Sunder Armor on the target.

  • Mana Tap (Blood Elf) - Removed. (Now partially integrated into Arcane Torrent)

  • Magic Resistance (Blood Elf) - Now reduces the chance you will be hit by spells by 2% instead of 5 resist to all.
  • Hardiness (Orc) - Now reduces duration of Stun effects by 15%.
  • The Voodoo Shuffle (Troll) - Reduces the duration of all movement impairing effects by 15%. Trolls be flippin' out mon!
  • Berserking (Troll) - Activation cost removed.
  • Frost Resistance (Dwarf) - Reduces the chance you will be hit by Frost spells by 2%.
  • Mace Specialization (Human and Dwarf) - Racial now added to Dwarves in addition to Humans.
  • Quickness (Night Elf) - Now reduces the chance you will be hit by melee and ranged attacks instead of increasing chance to dodge.
  • Nature Resistance (Night Elf and Tauren) - Now reduces the chance you will be hit by Nature Spells by 3% (2% for Tauren) instead of providing resistance.
  • Perception (Human) - Now a passive ability.
  • Human Supremancy (Human) - The dominance of Humanity is evidenced by having one more racial bonus than normal. Actually, make that two counting this one.
  • The Human Spirit (Human) - Spirit bonus reduced to 5%.
  • Will of the Forsaken (Undead) - 5 second immunity removed.
  • Gift of the Naaru (Draenei) - Heals the target of 50 damage over 15 sec. The amount healed is increased based on the caster's Spell Power or Attack Power, whichever is higher. This ability does not lose casting time from taking damage.
  • Shadow Resistance (Undead and Draenei) - Now reduces the chance you will be hit by Shadow spells by 2% (1% for Undead) instead of providing resistance.

  • New shadow quality graphics options.
  • Armor Penetration - Effects now increase armor penetration rating instead of ignoring armor.
  • Obsidian Sanctum - 10/25 man unfinished raid now open.

  • Tower Damaged - Grants up to 1250 Honor for damaging a tower.
  • Tower Destroyed - Grants up to 1250 Honor for destroying a tower.

Enchanting

  • Enchant Ring - Stamina - New, Permanently enchant a ring to increase Stamina by 24.
  • Enchant Weapon - Black Magic - New, Permanently enchant a melee weapon to cause your damaging spells to sometimes inflict a painful curse (209 to 231 Shadow damage every 3 seconds for 15 seconds). Requires a level 60 or higher item.
  • Enchant Weapon - Berserking - New, Proc based enchant that causes "Strength increased by 200 but armor reduced by 50%."
  • Enchant Weapon - Accuracy - Permanently enchant a melee weapon to increase critical strike and hit rating by 25. Requires a level 60 or higher item.

Inscription

  • Certificate of Ownership - Allows you to rename your pet.
  • Cards - Several new NYI or unknown things were added.

Tailoring

  • New Passive Ability - Northern Cloth Scavenging - Gives a tailor the ability to find additional cloth on northrend humanoids.
  • Several cast times for profession spells reduced.

New Mounts

  • Black Mammoth - Summons and dismisses a rideable Black Mammoth Mount. This is a very fast mount.
  • Brown Polar Bear - Summons and dismisses a rideable Brown Polar Bear. This is a very fast mount.
  • Black Polar Bear - Summons and dismisses a rideable Black Polar Bear. This is a very fast mount.
  • Twilight Drake - Summons and dismisses a rideable Twilight Drake. This is a very fast mount. This mount can only be summoned in Outland or Northrend.
  • Red Drake - Summons and dismisses a rideable Red Drake. This is a very fast mount. This mount can only be summoned in Outland or Northrend.
  • Bronze Drake - Summons and dismisses a rideable Bronze Drake. This is a very fast mount. This mount can only be summoned in Outland or Northrend.
  • Blue Drake - Summons and dismisses a rideable Blue Drake. This is a very fast mount. This mount can only be summoned in Outland or Northrend.
  • Azure Drake - Summons and dismisses a rideable Azure Drake. This is a very fast mount. This mount can only be summoned in Outland or Northrend.

Racials

The next build will feature three significant changes to racials.

  • The Fall of Humanity: Removed. A new Human racial will be tested in its place.
  • Every Man for Himself: Removes all movement impairing effects and all effects which cause loss of control of your character. This effect shares a cooldown with other similar effects, such as the PvP trinket. This essentially means that you gain flexibility regarding what to do with your second trinket slot.
  • Shadowmeld: "Activate to slip into the shadows, reducing the chance for enemies to detect your presence. Lasts until cancelled or upon moving. Any threat is restored versus enemies still in combat upon cancellation of this effect." It has a cooldown of 3 minutes, and it can be used in combat. In PvP it will force enemies targeting you to detarget you. It will cause any mobs currently on you to de-aggro, but it does not take you out of combat unless you are the last one on the hate list of any mobs that you were engaged with. It should be noted that the 5 extra points of passive stealth value is still there, however it isn't written in the shadowmeld tooltip. It is now just its own passive effect called "Elusiveness".

Changes to Racial AbilitiesClick this bar to Open/Close

Kalgan has posted about a variety of changes being made to Racial Abilities in the near future:
Orc:

  • Hardiness now reduces the duration of stun effects by 15%

Troll:

  • Racial Passive "The Voodoo Shuffle": Reduces the duration of all movement impairing effects by 15%. Trolls be flippin' out mon!
  • Berserking: no longer has an activation cost of energy/rage/etc

Draenei:

  • Gift of the Naaru: The amount healed is increased based on the caster's Spell Power or Attack Power, whichever is higher. This ability does not lose casting time from taking damage.
  • Shadow Resistance: reduces the chance to be hit by Shadow spells by 2%

Dwarf:

  • Frost Resistance: reduces the chance to be hit by Frost spells by 2%
  • Racial Passive "Mace Specialization": Expertise with Maces and Two-Handed Maces increased by 5.

Undead:

  • Shadow Resistance: reduces the chance to be hit by Shadow spells by 1% (yes, this is lower than the other resistance racials)
  • Will of the Forsaken: removes any fear, sleep, or charm effect (no longer has a lasting immunity).

Night Elf:

  • Quickness: reduces the chance to be hit by melee or ranged attacks by 2%
  • Nature Resistance: reduces the chance to be hit by Nature spells by 3%

Tauren:

  • Endurance: now scales based on base health, to be tuned to approximately a 5% heath increase if the player were wearing green quality gear
  • Nature Resistance: reduces the chance to be hit by Nature spells by 2%

Gnome:

  • Escape Artist: the freeing effect can no longer be resisted
  • Arcane Resistance: reduces the chance to be hit by Arcane spells by 2%

Blood Elf:

  • Mana Tap: ability removed (partially integrated into Arcane Torrent)
  • Arcane Torrent: restores 15 energy, 15 runic power, or 6% of mana to the Blood Elf (along with the current 2s silence effect)
  • Magic resistance: (unknown, possibly reduces chance to be hit by all spell schools by 1%)

Human:

  • Perception: changed to a passive, now grants one character level of passive stealth detection
  • Racial "The Fall of Humanity": Feign death which may trick enemies into ignoring you. Any threat is restored versus enemies still in combat upon cancellation of this effect. 5min cooldown
  • Racial Passive "Human Supremacy": The dominance of Humanity is evidenced by having one more racial bonus than normal. Actually, make that two counting this one. (just a tooltip, no actual functionality)
  • The Human Spirit: spirit bonus lowered to 5%

New Exotic Pet: Core Hound

A variety of spells in the new files indicate that Core Hounds...yes, CORE HOUNDS! are a new Exotic Pet! Their ability seems to be Lava Breath:

  • Lava Breath (Rank 1): Level 1, 25 Focus, 10 sec cooldown. Your pet breathes a double gout of molten lava at the target for 2 to 4 Fire damage and reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 10 sec.
  • Lava Breath (Rank 2): Level 16 - Your pet breathes a double gout of molten lava at the target for 7 to 9 Fire damage and reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 10 sec.
  • Lava Breath (Rank 3): Level 32 - Your pet breathes a double gout of molten lava at the target for 13 to 17 Fire damage and reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 10 sec.
  • Lava Breath (Rank 4): Level 48 - Your pet breathes a double gout of molten lava at the target for 22 to 28 Fire damage and reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 10 sec.
  • Lava Breath (Rank 5): Level 64 - Your pet breathes a double gout of molten lava at the target for 47 to 63 Fire damage and reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 10 sec.
  • Lava Breath (Rank 6): Level 80 - Your pet breathes a double gout of molten lava at the target for 49 to 65 Fire damage and reduces the target's casting speed by 50% for 10 sec.

New Shoulder Inscriptions

  • Inscription of Kings: Permanently adds 20 defense rating and 15 dodge rating to a shoulder slot item. Can only enchant your own items and doing so causes them to become soulbound.
  • Inscription of the Frostblade: Permanently adds 45 spell power and 15 critical strike rating to a shoulder slot item. Can only enchant your own items and doing so causes them to become soulbound.
  • Inscription of High Discipline: Permanently adds 30 spell power and 15 critical strike rating to a shoulder slot item. Can only enchant your own items and doing so causes them to become soulbound.

New Event: The Battle for the Ebon Hold

The Death Knight starting experience has been extended.

Part 1: A new ongoing event has been added to the Death Knight starting area. After the final battle event in the instanced zone, when a new Death Knight ports back to Acherus, it is now under attack by the Scourge!

Part 2: Death Knight's now have to earn their place among the major city factions. When a new Death Knight enters a major city, they are greeted by NPCs throwing fruit and spitting on them. Eventually they must earn the trust of their faction. More details when the World Servers come back up.

Wintergrasp

  • The losing team of Wintergrasp will now be rewarded as well as the winning side: Wintergrasp Defeat - "Grants the losing team 500 honor and 50 arena points for participating in Wintergrasp." (Approx a third of what the winning team gets.)
  • The final reward honor for winning or losing Wintergrasp will now be increased by your rank earned during the gameplay. (Recruit, Corporal, etc.)
  • A zone check has been added to count Horde and Alliance players in the area. The side that is outnumbered gains the Tenacity buff: "Being outnumbered has increased your tenacity, increasing your health by 12.5% and your damage by 5%."

  • Glyph of Dark Command - Increases the chance for your Dark Command ability to work successfully by 8%.
  • Glyph of Frost Strike - Your Frost Strikes have a 10% chance to Freeze the target for 8 seconds.

  • Glyph of Scourge Strike - Your Scourge Strike has a 25% chance to cause Blood Plague and Frost Fever.

  • Glyph of Unbreakable Armor - Unbreakable Armor grants an additional 5% parry chance but no longer increases your Strength.
  • Glyph of Death's Embrace - Your Death Coil refunds 20 runic power when used to heal.
  • Glyph of Vampiric Blood - Your Vampiric Blood also heals you for 3% of your total health.
  • Glyph of Bone Shield - Adds 1 additional charge to your Bone Shield.
  • Glyph of Raise Dead - Increases your Ghoul's total Strength by 10%.
  • Glyph of Horn of Winter - Horn of Winter costs 10 less runic power.
  • Glyph of Plague Strike - Your Plague Strike does additional damage for each disease on the target.
  • Glyph of Obliterate - Your Obliterate strikes for $58671s1% additional weapon damage, but does 50% less bonus damage per disease.
  • Glyph of Rune Strike - Increases the critical strike chance of your Rune Strike by 5% but increases cost by 5 runic power.
  • Glyph of Anti-Magic Shell - Increases the duration of your Anti-Magic Shell by 5 sec but increases the cooldown by 15 sec.
  • Glyph of Chains of Ice - Your Chains of Ice also causes $58621s1 Frost damage, depending on your attack power.

Druid

  • Glyph of the Forest Lynx - You appear as a forest lynx while in Cat Form.
  • Glyph of Rebirth - Your Rebirth spell no longer requires a reagent.
  • Glyph of the Black Bear - Changes the appearance of your bear and dire bear forms to that of a black bear.
  • Glyph of the Wild - Mana cost of your Mark of the Wild and Gift of the Wild spells reduced by 50%.

Hunter

  • Glyph of Possessed Strength - Increases the damage your pet inflicts while using Eyes of the Beast by 50%.

Mage

  • Glyph of Arcane Intellect - Reduces the mana cost of your Arcane Intellect and Arcane Brilliance spells by 50%.
  • Glyph of Fire Ward - You have an additional 5% chance to reflect Fire spells while your Fire Ward is active.
  • Glyph of Frost Ward - You have an additional 5% chance to reflect Frost spells while your Frost Ward is active.
  • Glyph of Frost Armor - Increases the duration of your Frost Armor and Ice Armor spells by 30 min.
  • Glyph of the Bear Cub - Your Polymorph: Sheep spell polymorphs the target into a polar bear cub instead.
  • Glyph of Slow Fall - Your Slow Fall spell no longer requires a reagent.

Paladin

  • Glyph of Blessing of Kings - Reduces the mana cost of your Blessing of Kings and Greater Blessing of Kings spells by 50%.
  • Glyph of Blessing of Might - Increases the duration of your Blessing of Might spell by 20 mins when cast on yourself.
  • Glyph of Blessing of Wisdom - Increases the duration of your Blessing of Wisdom spell by 20 mins when cast on yourself.

Premades

MMOC is reporting premade characters are level 80 with 4x22 or 4x20 slot bags depending on classes, PvP gear including full set of weapons, an epic flying and ground mount. Exalted with one or two faction depending on classes and friendly with the rest, maxed weapon skills and First Aid. Gear is also fully enchanted. See their site for more.

Paladin

  • Shield Specialization - Now increases your block value by 10/20/30% instead of increasing the amount of damage absorbed by your shield by 10/20/30%
  • Toughness - Now reduces the duration of all movement slowing effects by 10/20/30/40/50% as well as increase armor from items.
  • Blessing of Sanctuary - Now reduces damage taken from all sources by 3% for 10 min. In addition, when the target blocks, parries, or dodges a melee attack the target will gain 10 rage, 20 runic power, or 2% of the maximum mana.
  • Avenger's Shield - Rank 4 added, 1142 Mana, 658-788 Holy Damage
  • Improved Blessing of Might - Now increases the attack power bonus of your Blessing of Might by 5/10/15/20/25% down from 10/20/30/40/50%.
  • Vengeance - Now stacks up to 2 times, down from 3.
  • Judgements of the Wise - now grants 10 party or raid members mana regeneration equal to 0.5% of their maximum mana per second.

Death Knight

  • Dark Conviction - Now increases critical strike chance of weapons, spells and abilities instead of just weapons.
  • Might of Mograine - Now increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Blood Boil, Blood Strike, Death Strike, Heart Strike, and Obliterate abilities by 15/30/45%, instead of 20/40/60%.
  • Improved Icy Touch - Now reduces melee attack speed by an additional 2/4/6% up from 1/2/3%.
  • Toughness - Now reduces the duration of all movement slowing effects by 10/20/30/40/50% as well as increase armor from items.
  • Black Ice - Now increases your Frost and Shadow spell damage by 3/6/9/12/15% up from 2/4/6/8/10%.
  • Icy Talons - Now only caused by reduction of melee speed, removing ranged and casting. You leech heat from victims of your Frost Fever, so that when their melee speed is reduced, yours increases by 4/8/12/16/20% for for the next 20 sec. Up from 3/6/9/12/15%.
  • Lichborne - Reduced to a 3 min cooldown.
  • Runic Power Mastery - Now just grants 10/20/30 more maximum Runic Power.
  • Frigid Dreadplate - Now enemies who hit you in melee have a 30/60/100% chance to become unsettled, decreasing their chance to hit for 5% for the next 12 sec. Changed from Enemies who hit you in melee have a 5/10/15% chance to become unsettled, decreasing their attack speed by 50% for the next 3 swings.
  • Chill of the Grave - Down from 3 to 2 ranks. Now your Icy Touch, Chains of Ice and Howling Blast generate 50/100% additional runic power.
  • Improved Icy Talons - Now only increases melee attack speed, removing ranged and casting.
  • Merciless Combat - Changed to Icy Touch, Howling Blast, Obliterate and Frost Strike do an additional 10/20% damage when striking targets with less than 35% health from Frost spells and abilities do an additional 30/60% damage when striking targets with less than 20% health.
  • Frost Rune Mastery - replaced with Rime, which increases the damage of your Icy Touch and Howling Blast by 15/30%.
  • Howling Blast - Now has a 6 second cooldown, down from 30. Also does slightly less damage.
  • Frost Aura - Changed to 'All party or raid members within 45 yards of the Death Knight gain 40/80 spell resistance' from 'Increases your Frost Resistance by 32. While in Frost Presence, all party members within 45 yards take 2/4% less damage from magic.'
  • Endless Winter - 2nd rank changed to make Mind Freeze cost no runic power.
  • Blood of the North Down from 5 to 3 ranks. Now reads 'Whenever you use a Blood Strike, there is a 30/60/100% chance that the Blood Rune will become a Death Rune when it activates.'
  • Frost Strike - Now costs 40 Runic Power, down from 50.
  • Guile of Gorefiend - Frost Strike now receives benefit from this talent.
  • Hungering Cold - Now costs 60 Runic Power, up from 10. Now enemies within 10 yards are trapped in ice, preventing them from performing any action for 10 sec, instead of the duration depending on Runic Power.
  • Unholy Command - Now reduces the cooldown of your Demand ability by 1/2 sec, instead of Blood Boil.
  • Outbreak - Now increases the damage of Plague Strike, Pestilence and Blood Boil by 10/20/30%, instead of increasing the damage of Plague Strike and Scourge Strike by 5/10/15% and Pestilence and Blood Boil by 10/20/30%.
  • Blood-Caked Blade - Now auto attacks have a 5/10/15% chance to cause a Blood-Caked Strike, instead of melee attacks and abilities.
  • Impurity - Now your spells receive an additional 5/10/15/20/25% benefit from your attack power, up from 4/8/12/16/20%.
  • Desecration - Now Plague Strikes cause the Desecrated Ground effect instead of Obliterates.
  • Scourge Strike - Now requires 1 Unholy 1 Frost, instead of just 1 Unholy. Now deals 100% weapon damage as Shadow damage plus 333 and 50% additional damage for each of the Death Knight's diseases on the target.

Warlock

  • Frailty - Description changed, now increases the amount of attack power granted by your Curse of Recklessness by 50/100% instead of increasing the amount of armor reduced by your Curse of Recklessness by 10/20%.
  • Shadow Embrace - Now increases Shadow damage dealt by 2/4/6/8/10% instead of reducing physical damage done by the debuffed mob caused by 1/2/3/4/5%.
  • Demonic Empathy - Now a buff on the raid, instead of a debuff on the mob.

Druid

  • Nature's Focus - Now will give pushback resist chances of 23/46/70% on Healing Touch, Wrath, Entangling Roots, Cyclone, Nourish, Regrowth and Tranquility spells.
  • Tree of Life - Mana cost reduced to 684. While in this form you increase healing received by 3% for all party and raid members within 45 yards, and you can only cast Restoration and Barkskin spells, but the mana cost of your healing over time spells is reduced by 20%.
  • Improved Tree of Life - Now reduces the mana cost of your heal over time spells while in Tree of Life Form by an additional 5/10/15% instead of increasing the effect of your Tree of Life Aura by 5/10/15%.
