The Taunka

Summary

The Taunka Faction is a Horde Faction in Northrend, based out of various settlements in Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Borean Tundra, Grizzly Hills, and Storm Peaks.

The Taunka are a race similar to the Tauren, thought more buffalo-like in appearance. They share a great deal of common culture and history.

Only Horde have access to this Faction. It is one of the "Horde Expedition," the group of Factions that represent the main Horde foray into the wilds of Northrend. Other members of the Expedition include The Hand of Vengeance, the Warsong Offensive, and The Sunreavers.

The main Taunka quest hubs are:

• Taunka'le Village in eastern Borean Tundra.
• Camp Winterhoof in northern Howling Fjord.
• Camp One'Qwah in southern Grizzly Hills.
• The Icemist Village Refugee Camp in western Dragonblight.

Related Achievements

The following Achievements are related to the Warsong Offensive Faction:

• The Winds of the North: Gain exalted reputation with Warsong Offensive, The Hand of Vengeance and The Taunka. (20 Points)

There are currently no rewards for this Faction.

Currently a number of quests related to the Taunka in Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, Dragonblight, and Grizzly Hills give Taunka Reputation. (See a full list on WoWHead.)
